Volunteer Backcountry Stewardship Week – West Walker River Drainage

Join Friends of the Inyo and the Bridgeport Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest for a spectacular three days of stewardship the Hoover Wilderness. We'll be working to monitor weed species in the West Walker River drainage, and taking care of any trail issues we come across. And we'll also save plenty of time for hiking, sharing stories, and enjoying a beautiful place. Trip dates are July 14-17, 2022. Mammals of the Eastern Sierra at Rock Creek with Lindsay Butcher – 7/16/22

Take a stroll along the Upper Rock Creek Canyon trail with Lindsay and learn about the major mammals of the Eastern Sierra Nevada. If you're lucky, you might even see a critter or two! This hike is a moderate 2 miles of trail that wanders beside the creek, beyond the East Fork campground. We regret that this event has been canceled due to the unavailability of our group leaders.  Join Friends of the Inyo for a campout at Conglomerate Mesa and a sunrise hike to see the Inyo Rock Daisy in bloom.  It's a time-sensitive window in July only!
