Medicine in the Mountains: A Free Plant Walk with Friends of the Inyo

Join Trail Ambassador Abby for a guided hike to learn about ethical plant foraging and the edible and medicinal properties of local plants. We will learn how to identify plants, harvest sustainably, and explore the historical contexts of plants as food and medicine.

⌚ Time: 9 AM to 10 AM
📍 Location: Whitney Portal Trail (park about the Whitney Family Campground).
🐻 Special considerations: Participants should bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), layers for temperature regulation, good walking footwear, and water. All ages are welcome!
REGISTRATION
Each individual participant must register. Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian register for them. Registration is, and always will be, completely free! Optional donations support our continued stewardship and policy programming.
