Flash Foxy Climbing Festival Stewardship Day

  The fifth annual Flash Foxy Climbing Festival will culminate in a grand stewardship extravaganza in Pine Creek, the Volcanic Tablelands, and around the Bishop area. We’re partnering with Flash Foxy, the Bishop BLM, the Inyo National Forest, the Bishop Climbing Rangers, the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, and the Bishop Area Climber’s Coalition to restore these areas, both world-renowned climbing destinations and sites of cultural significance for the Bishop Paiute Tribe. We’re partnering with Flash Foxy, the Bishop BLM, the Bishop Area Climber’s Coalition, and the Access Fund to restore these areas, both world-renowned climbing destinations and sites of cultural significance for the Bishop Paiute Tribe. Join us at 8am on Sunday, March 24 at the Mountain Rambler parking lot for breakfast and coffee before the work begins. The Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan is Under Attack!

***New Development*** The Inyo County Board of Supervisors will be discussing their draft letter to the BLM regarding the re-opening of the DRECP. The Board is currently scheduled to discuss the topic on March 20, 2018 at their Board of Supervisors meeting. Here are some talking points to help you prepare for the meeting: 1. Thank the Board for its stance taken at the February 27 meeting to oppose re-opening the DRECP. 2.
