  • Convict Lake Restoration Planting

    Volunteers are needed to help plant native shrubs near Convict Lake. We’ll be planting bitterbrush in a previously developed area to encourage native revegetation and reduce erosion. This effort will contribute to a healthier ecosystem in the future. So join Friends of the Inyo, Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, and the Inyo National Forest, and help support our local ecosystems. Please wear close toed shoes and long pants. Tools and gloves provided. All ages welcome. Meet at the junction of Highway 395 and Convict Lake Road at 8:30. Work site is walking distance away. Coffee and light breakfast provided. For more...
