Mining 101: A Workshop with Bonnie Gestring

FreeFriends of the Inyo, The Sierra Club and Inyo350 are pleased to present this workshop with Bonnie Gestring, the Northwest Program Director at Earthworks, free and open to the public.
This workshop will help you understand:
- Current industrial hardrock mining techniques
- How contemporary mining operations usually effect ecosystems and surrounding communities
- How an industrial mine could affect Conglomerate Mesa and nearby areas
- How citizens impact federal decision making about mining on public lands
