Sierra National Forest Wilderness Project

Join Friends of the Inyo and the Sierra National Forest for a spectacular five days of stewardship in Humphreys Basin over Piute Pass. We'll be working to restore illegal campsites and fire rings in this fragile alpine environment, and we'll also save plenty of time for swimming, hiking, sharing stories, and enjoying a beautiful place. Taking and Making: a History of our High Sierra Water

Water is perhaps the most important force that has shaped our Eastern Sierra landscape and culture through time. Join Melissa, a Friends of the Inyo Trail Ambassador, as she takes you on a journey through the Sierra's water history and hydrology along the Little Lakes Valley Trail in Rock Creek. Meet at 10AM at the Mosquito Flat Trailhead at the end of Rock Creek Road. Bring water, sunscreen, snacks, layers, and appropriate footwear for hiking.
