Written in Stone: A Free Geology Walk with Friends of the Inyo

Join Trail Ambassador Katie for a guided hike around Convict Lake where we’ll read the stone walls surrounding the canyon to unfold a story that will take us from the ocean floor to the tops of volcanos and all that inbetween.

⌚ Time: 9 AM to 11 AM
📍 Location: Convict Lake Trailhead
🐻 Special considerations: There is a vault toilet available at the trailhead. Participants should bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), layers for temperature regulation, good walking footwear, and water. All ages are welcome!
REGISTRATION
Each individual participant must register. Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian register for them. Registration is, and always will be, completely free! Optional donations support our continued stewardship and policy programming.
