June 1, 2024 from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Join Friends of the Inyo and the Inyo National Forest for a Buck and Rail fence installation project. The aim is to protect sensitive riparian Fens/Water drainages out beyond the Buttermilks Boulders from OHV and Grazing.

When: This event has been postponed Saturday, June 1st @ 8:30AM until mid/late afternoon (12-1PM)

What: We will be carpooling out to the worksite and installing Buck and Rail barriers to keep livestock and vehicles out of sensitive habitat. All tools and PPE will be provided.

Where: 37.27617, -118.62370

How: We plan to meet at the Buttermilks Main bouldering parking lot at 8:30AM and carpooling from there. The road is 4X4 and high clearance mandatory! So space and participation is limited, please only register if you are committed to showing up.

To register or ask questions please email Lindsay@friendsoftheinyo.org

This is a manual labor Volunteer event. While we aim to accommodate all participants, some activities may be strenuous. Participants are responsible for all their own hydration, food, sun-pro, and any other necessities.

All events on public lands are subject to approval by their respective land management partners, and are not guaranteed in location, number of participants, or activity until permits are finalized.
