Suggested $10 donation will help raise funds for the No Hot Creek Mine Campaign.

  • Trout Trot 5K/10K Charity Run to Benefit Friends of the Inyo’s No Hot Creek Mine Protection Campaign!

    Register today for Friends of the Inyo's No Hot Creek Mine Trout Trot 5K/10K Fun Run! This is the second annual Trout Trot Charity Fundraiser, which began as a citizen volunteer effort in 2022 to protect Hot Creek from foreign mining interests. Now that No Hot Creek Mine and Friends of the Inyo have joined forces, this event will help raise funds for a campaign to gain PERMANENT PROTECTION for Hot Creek! Join us for a night full of winter inspired stories curated by the Winter Wildlands Alliance. The 20th annual film lineup will screen short films about: athletic pursuit in the mountains, artistic vision, friendship, and how the snowsports community is adapting to change.     The 21st Annual Backcountry Film Festival (BCFF) returns to Mammoth on January 31st, 2026 at Mammoth Mountain's Main Lodge, bringing a celebration of human-powered adventure, winter storytelling, and public lands advocacy to our community.   Film Festival tickets are $25 at the door.  Raffle tickets for sale at the door! You could win Rocky Talkies, DPS Pagoda skis, a stay at Limelight, a relaxing spa day, a guided day in the backcountry, and SO MUCH MORE!
