Important considerations:
- The walk covers about 1 mile with 300 feet of elevation gain and loss, at an elevation of 10,000 feet — please be prepared for high-altitude conditions.
- There is no running water at Schulman Grove. Bring plenty of water and enough food or snacks to stay comfortable.
- Vault toilets are available at the trailhead (availability may vary depending on Forest Service maintenance).
- Wear sturdy shoes you’re comfortable walking in for over a mile.
- The guided walk lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours and begins at 11:00 AM at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest Visitor Center. Please arrive a few minutes early.
Take a step back in time and experience the resilience of the bristlecones — we look forward to seeing you on the trail!
