Volunteers Needed for Upper Rock Creek Boardwalk Restoration

This popular path for locals is in a dangerous state of disrepair and we’ve been working to replace it section-by-section over multiple seasons. We need volunteers – no experience needed – to help us install the next segment.
📅 Date: Saturday, August 2nd, 2025
⌚ Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Park at the Sno-Park parking area. Volunteers will meet here to discuss the plan for the day and enjoy some coffee before carpooling closer to the work site.
🎒 What to Bring:
- Work boots or other durable, preferably waterproof, shoes
- Long pants, ideally a durable canvas or denim
- Sun protection (sun screen, hat, sun shirt, sunglasses)
- At least 1 liter of water – more is always better!
- Plenty of snacks and lunch
🔨 FOI will provide all tools, work gloves, and eye protection. We will also have coffee for volunteers in the morning and snacks and refreshments for the day.
