Mt Whitney History with Cordero Chavez – 8/26/2022

Explore all facets of the history of the highest mountain in the contiguous United States, Mt Whitney.

Cordero will lead you on a hike as he shares information and insights into the flora, fauna, and rich human and natural history of this peak known around the world.

Meet at 9 AM at Whitney Portal, near the Meysan Lakes Trailhead for a moderate hike lasting roughly 3 hours.

Bring sturdy shoes, snacks, water, hat, sunglasses, binoculars if you use them and any other essentials for a few hours of hiking.
