Taking and Making: a History of our High Sierra Water

August 1, 2018 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

hiking mosquito flat MIchael Cleaver

Water is perhaps the most important force that has shaped our Eastern Sierra landscape and culture through time. Join Melissa, a Friends of the Inyo Trail Ambassador, as she takes you on a journey through the Sierra’s water history and hydrology along the Little Lakes Valley Trail in Rock Creek.

Meet at 10AM at the Mosquito Flat Trailhead at the very end of Rock Creek Road. Bring water, sunscreen, snacks, layers, and appropriate footwear for hiking. The length of the walk will depend on group consensus (but be prepared to be out for at least two hours). The Little Lakes Valley Trail is fairly easy walking.
