Taking and Making: a History of our High Sierra Water

July 11, 2018 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

bullfrog lake

Water is perhaps the most important force that has shaped our Eastern Sierra landscape and culture through time. Join Melissa, a Friends of the Inyo Trail Ambassador, as she takes you on a journey through the Sierra’s water history and hydrology along the Kearsarge Pass Trail out of Independence.

Meet at 10AM at the Kearsarge Pass Trailhead. Bring water, sunscreen, snacks, layers, and appropriate footwear for hiking. The length of the walk will depend on group consensus (but be prepared to be out for at least two hours). The Kearsarge Pass Trail is moderately strenuous.
