Green Drinks at The Fort
January 25 from 5:00 am - 6:30 pm
Join Friends of the Inyo at The Fort for Green Drinks International’s first meeting of 2019!
“January’s Monthly Green Drinks @ The Fort will feature “Keep Long Valley Green” initiative. Come hear what the latest status update on environmental rights, ranchers involvement, recreation/wetlands, etc. This is an informal roundtable discussion, there will be the typical Green Drinks intro and networking so everyone gets to speak to what they are already doing that is Green, and/or what you have planned for 2019 to be more Green.
Every month people who work, play, dream, scheme in the environment meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks International, with meetings in many cities across the globe. These events are unstructured, yet many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, created business agreements, and had moments of serendipity. We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government, business, community, artists, and science. It’s a force for the good and we’d like to help it spread. Come along and you’ll be made welcome. Everyone invites someone else, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network.
Mammoth Lakes is a hot spot for business travelers, innovative locals, intertwined in our amazing environment. The Fort, our local remote work center, hosts 4th Friday Green Drinks, 5-6:30 pm, as part of their Friday happy hour. You do not need to be a member of the Fort to participate, just show up. The Fort supplies beer, soda, tea for the event, and the Black Doubt Brewery is next door, so you are welcome to BYOB or grab a beer from the cooler.”
