Come one, come all: Let’s Reduce Wildfire Risk in Mammoth!
Join us for a day of dirt, dust, and doing good on the Mammoth Scenic Loop, where we’ll be busting rogue fire rings, restoring approved fire rings, and helping this stunning Forest stay wild and beautiful. Expect a satisfying mix of rock-hauling, ash-scooping, and trash hunting. We’ve got gloves, tools, and good company waiting for you.

Bring your can-do spirit, snacks, and plenty of water and let’s clean up the loop in style!
Where: 37°40’27.8″N 118°59’25.0″W (From 395, travel 4.4 miles on the Mammoth Scenic Loop. This dispersed camping area is on the Eastern side of the road.)
When: 8am Saturday, September 27th
What: Cleanin’ out & fixin’ up fire rings (and naturalizing poorly placed rings)
Why: Over-large and poorly placed fire rings can increase risk of wildfires. The Scenic Loop is a very popular dispersed camping spot with lots of fire rings. Making sure these fire rings are appropriately placed and sized helps keep our community safe.
All tools and PPE will be provided.
