Conglomerate Mesa Outing w/ John Louth

Join Friends of the Inyo board member John Louth for a day trip to Conglomerate Mesa, a delicate, beautiful, desert eco-system that is under threat.

The BLM has given the green light for a mining company to do some exploratory drilling for gold. This is a very real threat to the area’s recreation- and tourism-based economy, delicate water supply, and uniquely important ecosystem and cultural resources.

Expect a full day (between driving and hiking), and please be prepared with adequate footwear and clothing, lunch, water, and snacks.
This is a moderately strenuous hike.
