Conglomerate Mesa Outing w/ John Louth

June 1, 2018

conglomerate mesa from East

Join Friends of the Inyo board member John Louth for a day trip to Conglomerate Mesa, a delicate, beautiful, desert eco-system that is under threat.

The BLM has given the green light for a mining company to do some exploratory drilling for gold. This is a very real threat to the area’s recreation- and tourism-based economy, delicate water supply, and uniquely important ecosystem and cultural resources.

Read our full press release on the matter here.

Space on the outing is limited, so please RSVP to info@friendsoftheinyo.org to secure your spot.

Expect a full day (between driving and hiking), and please be prepared with adequate footwear and clothing, lunch, water, and snacks.
This is a moderately strenuous hike.

More information will be given as you RSVP, and as we get closer to the date.
