Discussions will include how water has played a pivotal role in shaping the Sierra in the past\, created the many ecosystems we see today\, and how crucial water will be to the area in the future. \nTime: 9:00-12:30 (3.5 hours) \nLocation: Virginia Lakes Trailhead \nDistance: ~3 mi (Round Trip) \nElevation gain: ~300 ft \nSpace on this hike is limited to 12 folks. RSVP below today to secure your spot!\n\n\n\n\nWould you consider giving to Friends of the Inyo?\n     Will you help Friends of the Inyo continue to deliver other FREE educational events to the public? DESCRIPTION:  \nCelebrate the end of summer at the Fourth Annual Bridgeport Trails Day!\nJoin us and the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest to get out and give back to the places you love to enjoy.\nMeet at the Virginia Lakes Trail head parking lot at 8:30am on Saturday\, September 18th for a fun morning of trail work and lakeshore clean-up. \nBring sunscreen\, closed-toed shoes\, hat\, and water and snacks for a morning of work. \nSocial distancing and mask wearing will be required; be sure to bring a mask!\nWe’ll provide the gloves\, trash-grabbers\, and trash bags.\nWe will be capping this event at 30 participants\, so sign up and RSVP today!\n\nPlease send any questions about the event to Alex@friendsoftheinyo.org. \nCheck back in as the event approaches for more info on project details. \nPromotion for this event was partially funded by a grant from Mono Countywww.monocounty.org (800) 845-7922 \n \n
