DESCRIPTION:Take in the Mammoth Lakes Basin with Will and learn about the geology of the Eastern Sierra Nevada.\n\n This is a moderate 1.2 miles round trip hike with 375 feet of elevation gain.\nMeet at Heart Lake Trailhead the north end of the Duck Pass Trailhead parking lot in the Mammoth Lakes Basin.\n \nWhen: hike starts at 9:00 and will wrap up around 11:30-12:00. \nBring sturdy shoes\, snacks\, water\, hat\, sunglasses\, binoculars if you use them and any other essentials for a few hours of hiking. \nSpace on this hike is limited to 12 folks. RSVP below today to secure your spot!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n***This interpretive hike is generously supported by the Town of Mammoth Lakes\, Measure U Funding\, and Mammoth Lakes Recreation.*** \n \nWould you consider giving to Friends of the Inyo?\n     Will you help Friends of the Inyo continue to deliver other FREE educational events to the public?
