Friends of the Inyo is getting ready to offer its first ever Latino Conservation Week Event, and it will be held bilingually, in English and Spanish, for the entire community to enjoy. We invite people of all ages, Eastern Sierra locals and tourists alike, to join us at Bishop’s City Park, at the gazebo on Main Street, Saturday, July 23, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., to listen to local sheepherders (many of whom are Hispanic) talk about their adventures in nature, their responsible sheepherding practices, and, sadly, how they have seen our beautiful Eastern Sierra landscape change over the decades...
