This Spring, we have a trio of volunteer opportunities in our desert and high-desert ecosystems.
- Saturday, March 23, 2019 – Death Valley National Park Badwater Basin Effacement Volunteer Project – Our partners at Death Valley National Park are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for a day of restoring a playa in the Badwater Basin, treating OHV trespass. Space is limited to twelve people, so please RSVP to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you the full details.
- Sunday, March 24, 2019 – Flash Foxy Women’s Climbing Festival Stewardship Day – Join us and partners as we send off the Women’s Climbing Festival with a morning of stewardship in the Buttermilk Country and Volcanic Tablelands. Wear work-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes, and bring the water and snacks you’ll need for a morning of work. We’ll provide tools and gloves. All ages welcome!
- March 25-28, April 9-12 , April 15-18 (tentative dates)- Death Valley National Park Eureka Dunes Rare Plant Monitoring – Join DVNP in a great experience! Our field weeks generally run 10hrs/day, and we’ll be camping at the dunes. Volunteers can expect strenuous hiking in sand (up to 8 miles/day), and lots of beautiful views and rare plants along the way.
E-mail email@example.com with any questions, and to RSVP.
