Friends of the Inyo names new Executive Director!

“The Board of Directors of Friends of the Inyo is very pleased to have hired Laura Beardsley as our new Executive Director,” said James Wilson, President of the Friends of
the Inyo Board.

“Laura has a wealth of experience working in a variety of non profits, most recently in Yosemite National Park for the Yosemite Conservancy and Nature Bridge. We have lots to do to help maintain our region’s economic and ecological wholeness, and we’re confident Laura can help us to that.”

“Laura brings energy and passion to the Eastern Sierra that dovetails well with Friends of the Inyo’s mission,” added Sydney Quinn, Vice President of Friends of the Inyo.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to use my experience to further the Friends of the Inyo’s mission of promoting preservation, exploration and stewardship,” Beardsley said.

Beardsley is replacing Stacy Corless, who worked for Friends of the Inyo for four years, first as Communications Director and then as Executive Director.
