Buttermilk Rock Collection: Volunteers Needed

Buttermilk Parking Lot

In anticipation of this weekend's volunteer event in the Buttermilks, we are looking for some volunteers to help collect rocks along Buttermilk Rd. Meet at the Buttermilks main parking lot at 9:30 AM Friday, November 11. We will work until noon-ish. Please RSVP in the sign up form below. Bring sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, hat, and water and snacks for a morning of work. We'll provide the gloves, tools, and all materials. American Alpine Club’s Bishop Craggin’ Classic Stewardship Event

Join Friends of the Inyo, the American Alpine Club, Inyo National Forest, Bureau of Land Management, the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, and Bishop Area Climbers Coalition for a day of giving back to the Buttermilk Boulders and Volcanic Tablelands. November 19th Highway Cleanup with Keep Long Valley Green

Driving through Long Valley on the 395 you might have noticed our new Adopt-A-Highway sign courtesy of local business Sweet Water Hideaway. Now it is time for our first clean up! Join us at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 19th. Coffee and donuts will be provided. RSVP below. Once you sign up, you will be given the location where everyone will meet for the cleanup. Wear closed-toed shoes and layers, other equipment for the cleanup will be provided.

National Trails Day: Moved from Shepherds Pass to Meysan Lake Trail!

Come join FOI and the U.S. Forest Service for a day of trail work at the Meysan Lake Trail. We will be restoring sections of washed out trail, so be ready to get your hands dirty - and possibly your feet wet (considering the water levels)! We will meet at the Meysan Lake Trailhead at 9am (No longer meeting at Shepherds Pass). June Lake Trails Day 2023

This year's annual June Lake Trails Day will be hosted on Saturday June 24th.   WHEN: Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 8:30am to 12:30pm WHERE: Meet at the June Lake Community Center Parking Lot/June Lake Community Park. WHAT: Join us for a fun morning of maintaining popular trails and picking up trash and fishing line around the June Lake Loop. Free lunch and prize giveaways! Pop-Up Stewardship: Mammoth Lakes Cleanup

Come one, come all: Friends of the Inyo needs you! Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring a stranger? Friends of the Inyo is hosting a pop-up cleanup event in Mammoth Lakes this Friday, June 30th.
