Fire & Ice Interpretive Hike in Lee Vining Canyon w/ Jean Redle – 9/2/22

Fire and Ice: a land of contrasts
The Sierra Nevada and the Mono Basin have been sculpted by volcanoes, glaciations and wildfires.
Explore the changing environment and mining history on a 4 hour walk from Junction Campground (between Tioga Pass Resort and Ellery Lake off the Tioga Road) to Bennetville Mine to Fantail Lake. Hike is 3.72 miles long (round trip), with 474 feet of vertical gain.
Bring lunch, water and layers.
