Fire and Ice: A Land of Contrasts- Interpretive Hike with Jean at McGee Creek

Come join our White Mountain Ranger District- Trail Ambassador Jean, on an interpretive hike along McGee Creek.
Description: The Sierra Nevada and the Mono Basin have been sculpted by volcanoes, glaciations and wildfires. Explore the changing environment on a 3 hour walk making our way up the McGee Creek trail. This trail is moderate although it does gain elevation.
Where: McGee Creek Trailhead
When: 9am August 6th and September 9th (note time change to 9am)
Please bring lunch, water, layers, and wear hiking appropriate footwear. Binoculars, cameras, and other accoutrement are encouraged!

Beginning August 18th Jean will be leading an Interpretive Yoga Program every Friday from 8:30-
9:40 am at the Mammoth Lakes, Hayden Cabin Museum- Participants are invited to join her afterwards on a Stewardship
Hike at a different trail each week. Gloves and loppers will be provided.
