Mammoth Lakes: Fire and Ice: A Land of Contrasts- Interpretive Hike with Jean at Panorama Dome 8/25/23

Come join our White Mountain Ranger District- Trail Ambassador Jean, on an interpretive hike along Panorama Dome trail.
Description: The Sierra Nevada and the Mono Basin have been sculpted by volcanoes, glaciations and wildfires. Explore the changing environment on a 3 hour walk making our way up the McGee Creek trail. This trail is moderate although it does gain elevation.
Where: Park in the dirt lot off of a Lake Mary Road, just beyond the junction of the Tamarack Lodge Road
When: August 25th @ 10:30am till 12:30pm
Please bring lunch, water, layers, and wear hiking appropriate footwear. Binoculars, cameras, and other accoutrement are encouraged!
