Like an ecosystem, it takes a diversity of organizations, business and individuals to make our public lands thrive. Friends of the Inyo is honored to work with a wide variety of partners and organizations within the Eastern Sierra Community. We especially want to thank the businesses that support our work.

Are you a business owner and wondering how your business can integrate sustainability into your business model or support the public lands that support the economy and culture of the Eastern Sierra?

Winter Trailhead Partnership

Friends of the Inyo is partnering with Winter Wildlands Alliance and the Inyo National Forest to pilot a winter trailhead host program at nordic ski trailheads this winter. We’ll be out there on busy Saturdays to provide information, answer questions and generally make sure everybody has a great time.

Check the following places for more information about winter recreation in the Mammoth Lakes area.

Snow School

In the winter of 2017, we partnered with Winter Wildlands Alliance, Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association and others to conduct outdoor science lessons with Mammoth Elementary fifth graders in the wild winter landscape outside Mammoth.

The project went so well, we’ll be continuing the program this upcoming winter, and on down the road year after year.

Check the SnowSchool website for more information.
