Aug 5 2017

Join Friends of the Inyo, Bodie Hills Conservation Partnership, Bishop BLM, and Bodie State Park for a stewardship day in the beautiful Bodie Hills. Come help care for a unique and special place in Mono County by removing fences that disrupt wildlife migration. Please wear work appropriate clothing – long pants and close-toed shoes are a must. Tools and gloves provided.

Meet at 8:30 at the red barn in the center of Bodie. We'll work till 12:30, then meet for a free lunch and an interpretive tour of the State Historic Park for anyone who's interested. All volunteers will get free entrance to the park.

Accomplishment Narrative:
We removed about 1000' of non-historic wire from an unused corral by the employee parking lot, rolling it rather than cutting it when possible so the BLM can use it in an upcoming fence restoration project. We also marked about 1000' of fence with white markers to make them visible to sage-grouse.
