Friends of the Inyo relies on a small staff and volunteers to help care for and protect the Eastern Sierra's public lands. The Friends of the Inyo Executive Director implements long term strategic direction and administers the organization’s programs. The Director oversees staff, fundraises, and develops relationships with local partners and agency heads. This full time position is based in Bishop, California and requires frequent travel across the Eastern Sierra, as well as occasional out of area travel. A key consideration for our next Executive Director is to be able to build Friends of the Inyo into the “go to” organization in the Eastern Sierra, and develop a robust network of partners to help fulfill our mission.
