As owners of our public lands we, the American people, directly determine the quality of our public lands - their ecological health, opportunites for diverse recreation and ability to amaze, renew and inspire.
To help support and foster people getting out into and working with their public lands heritage, we provide a number of ways to get involved:
- Stewardship - Join one of our volunteer stewardship projects. From Death Valley to Mt. Whitney to Mono Lake, help remove invasive weeds, maintain roads and trails, build new trail, meet new friends and give back to your public lands. Check our calendar for past and upcoming projects or contact us if you've got an idea on a project that needs doing.
- Exploration - Want to explore new corners of the Eastern Sierra or simply visit a well-loved location with new friends and knowledgeable leaders? Join us for an exploration outing.
- Preservation - Your voice makes a difference. The conversation of caring people at countless meetings drives the decisions that determine the present and future of our public lands.
Help us continue to care for the Eastern Sierra by joining us a Member of Friends of the Inyo.
