Annual Member Rendezvous Weekend & Campout

Date:
Oct 4 2014 to Oct 5 2014

Our Friends of the Inyo Member Rendezvous will take place this Saturday, October 4th on the edge of the Owens River Headwaters Wilderness for our annual, family-friendly Member Rendezvous and campout!

A stewardship project led by Paul McFarland is planned for Saturday afternoon from about 1-3:30 pm near the Deadman Creek trailhead as well as a naturalist walk by Mike Prather covering geology, flora & fauna, climate, everything from A-Z. Later in the afternoon, there will be a reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres and a BBQ dinner! Main course and libations will be provided- Members are asked to bring a side dish to share.

Those interested may join us on Sunday morning on a bird walk led by James Wilson (start time ~7:30 am), or photography outing by our newest Board Member Sam Roberts (start time ~6:30 am). Participants will be able to return in time for a hearty breakfast prepared for all by staff.

Thank you for all the RSVPs. Please remember to bring a side dish to share for our BBQ potluck, based on your last name:

A-I  Appetizers

I-Q  Side dish or salad

R-Z  Dessert

Other helpful items to bring: a little wood for our camp fire and extra water/cooler for personal use (we'll have a bunch of water too but more won't hurt).

A reminder email with detailed directions to campground will be sent out to all confirmed participants by mid-day Thursday, October 2.

Questions: Please contact Ursula by email (ursula@friendsoftheinyo.org) or by phone (831-402-0192) if you have additional questions.

We're looking forward to seeing you and a fun weekend!
